LGMC Class of 2018
Denise is proud to be a member of the LGMC Class of 2018 (go Orange Team!) and is on the Curriculum Committee as part of Healthcare Day. She is the owner of Smith Physical Therapy + Running Academy in Crystal Lake, which she founded in 2015. She is active in McHenry County as well as overseeing community races such as The Santa Run, The Patriot Run, The Crystal Lake Aquathon, and The Crystal Lake Half Marathon – all to help raise funds for charities that support this wonderful county. Her previous board positions include Sage YMCA and Girls on the Run of Northwest Illinois.
Denise grew up in the Detroit suburbs (and yes – is still hoping for the Lions to win one day). She graduated from Marquette University in 2002 with a masters degree in physical therapy and moved to Crystal Lake with her husband, Scott, in 2009. Her love for this area has motivated her to find other ways to support the community and raise her 2 children here. Denise enjoys hiking, working out, being with friends and family, drinking wine, and playing with her puppy.
