Agency overview

Volunteer Center is a six-year-old non-profit organization. Our staff of two along with approximately 120 volunteers provide services that strengthen local nonprofit organizations.

We are excited about our mission. We help nonprofits reach their capacity by providing educational experiences that develop their staff and volunteers. We also provide volunteer information and referral to help individuals and groups connect with local nonprofits. Our Human Race program has turned into a great community event by lifting the missions and increasing support of nonprofit organizations. As of January 2015, we house the only free access grant-seeker tool in McHenry County as a Foundation Center Partner Network Site. Everything we do builds capacity of local nonprofit organizations.
